Singing Career
Diwakar’s music journey began at the very young age of 6, when he performed live on stage for the first time. During this performance, he sang many Bhojpuri songs for the audience. The people were very impressed by his performance, and they honored him by giving him the title “Bihar Ke Lala.” So, from the age of 6, the name “Bihar Ke Lala” became a part of his identity.
Later, when he grew up, Diwakar and his friends started their own musical band named “Shifa Sufi”. Before coming to Indian Idol, he had already performed in many shows all over India. He was among top contestants in Bhojpuri SaReGaMaPa Lil Champs in 2018.
A big part of Diwakar’s success is due to his father’s support. Diwakar’s father dreamed of becoming a Tabla Player but couldn’t, and he watched same dream in his son and played a major role in his son’s musical journey.
During Indian Idol (Season 16) Audition he bypassed the Theatre round to get selected among top 16 contestants by winning the platinum mic.
