At a young age of 20, he was at his physical best and achieved a lot—he became a South African Taekwondo champion, a KZN middleweight boxing champion, competed at the CrossFit Games, did well in bodybuilding, and also ran a successful business.
However, years of injuries from contact sports and motocross, including 16 broken bones, badly affected his health. He suffered from severe nerve damage and lived in constant pain for many years, both physically and mentally. Even after hitting his lowest point, Tayne did not give up. By turning back to faith and believing in himself again, in 2025 he decided to rebuild his health, strength, and life, showing strong determination and discipline.
In 2024 he rebuild his health and strength and participated in Global Boxing Series, Asia’s first homegrown boxing series, in Mumbai.
